Whats important?
This is a question that was on my mind when I guess I fell asleep last night. It stayed in my head and I havent thought about it much today, up until now I guess. I felt it was something maybe I could write about, but Im not really sure. I guess I dont really know that right now. Im sure everyone has their own ideas of what is important to them. I mean it is a personal type question that requires personal type answers. Everyone is different with their own different ways of thinking. I think it is interesting to learn about human nature, the way we think as individuals, and sometimes as groups, but often I find it to be quite discouraging. The more you learn about human nature, the sadder it gets. I used to care, and still do, but dont really want to anymore. It is so depressing, trying to understand people and why they chose to live the way they do, to an extent that is a choice, but to you as a person it doesnt seem like a choice, as it is the way you see things, and as people caught in the moment make decisions based on experience, and personal preferences. Argh
lol
Numbing really
Can thoughts and attitudes be changed? Some seem to think so, as evidenced by all the self help books, and classes on the subjects. But really is it something that takes conscious effort, or something that just happens, or needs to happen unknowingly? Who, knows? I think people are capable of change. How much, and to what degree, that depends on whats to change, and the attitudes involved. So what is it that drives us, makes us happy? And how important are those things? Do they change? Are the things that change that important, or are the things that stay with us, that often get pushed aside, the things that make us?
